Webhooks
And everything else
Any stage of an approval workflow can call a URL instead of a person. Pick the method, set the headers, and write the body as JSON with the file and the stage substituted in.
That is how Cage reaches the tools it has no plugin for: your own service, a build pipeline, a notifier, anything at the other end of an HTTP request.
Frequently asked questions
Do integrations cost extra?
No. They are included with paid plans at no additional charge. Free accounts can upload and review; connecting an outside service is a paid feature. Every connector is on Team and above, except Slack, which is on Studio and above.
Is Zapier supported?
Not as an app. Cage does outbound webhooks instead: any workflow stage can call a URL you choose, which covers the same ground for anything that accepts one.
Do I connect an account once, or once per project?
Slack, Teams and the cloud storage services connect per project, from Settings then Integrations, so a client project need not see a channel meant for the studio. Plugins and extensions are installed once and sign in with your Cage account.
Is Adobe XD supported?
No. The Cage plugin ships for Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro. XD support was removed when Adobe moved the product into maintenance mode.
What if the tool we use is not on this list?
Send it to us. Anything that accepts a webhook can already be wired up through a workflow stage, and the list above is ordered by what people ask for.
